The endowment supports programs to promote family and cultural influences, to advance the artistic and intellectual environment of the university, and to strengthen the cultural bond between the university and the public.

We are delighted the Threadgill Lecture and Artist Series is bringing the Modern Gentlemen back to campus for a special holiday concert.

The Modern Gentlemen

The Modern GentlemenWith an extraordinary origin as members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band the Four Seasons, Landon Beard, Todd Fournier, and brothers Brian Brigham and Brandon Brigham were almost predestined to become the modern voices of yesterday. They all were handpicked by the legendary Frankie Valli and thrilled audiences all over the world with the music icon. After well over a decade together, Valli graciously gave his blessing for them to start their own group. This marked a significant turning point in their careers allowing them to showcase their own talents and carve out a unique place in the music industry.

Individually, each member possesses his own distinctive voice and charismatic charm. Together, their harmonies are unparalleled with seamless transitioning between genres and eras that transcend time. What sets the Modern Gentlemen apart is the group's ability to bridge the gap between generations by breathing new life into timeless, classic hits with genuine camaraderie and a music pedigree that features each member's artistic prowess.

They have had the honor to share the stage with many of their musical heroes including the Beach Boys, Manhattan Transfer, Smokey Robinson, and most recently opening for Lionel Richie in Las Vegas, Doja Cat at the Atlantis Resort Bahamas for New Year's Eve, and for Sheena Easton. They have performed for presidents of the United States and for Prince William of Wales at the esteemed Arts Club in London.

The Modern Gentlemen have performed on the world's biggest stages including Royal Albert Hall with the London Symphony Orchestra, the O2 Arena, Hampton Court, and BBC Proms in the Park for more than 40,000 people. They represented their country in "A Capitol Fourth" with Michael McDonald, Patti LaBelle, John Williams, and others, as well as performed in two limited engagements on the Broadway stage. The have toured the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Asia, Israel, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand. As favorites of PBS audiences, they have starred on three nationwide specials and headlined in Las Vegas as well as recently having their own residency in Atlantic City.

In addition, they have released three studio albums. Their holiday album features original songs written by multi-platinum, award-winning songwriters as well as many familiar classics. Their newest album recreates some of their all-time favorite songs elevating their sound to an entirely new level.

The Modern Gentlemen feel very fortunate to have been a part of one of the biggest and most influential American bands of all time. With the perfect blend of nostalgia and originality, the group continues to create unforgettable live experiences garnering multiple standing ovations in prestigious performing arts centers and showrooms all over the world.
