MUW Alumni Association
Message from the President

Hello, alumni and friends of The W!
It is such an honor to serve as President of the Mississippi University for Women Alumni Association and represent this incredible community of alumni who continue to carry the spirit of The W everywhere we go. As we celebrate the traditions and connections that shaped us, I’m equally excited about the future we’re building together for the Long Blue Line.
For so many of us, our connection to The W began the moment we stepped onto campus and realized this place was different. It became the place where we found lifelong friendships, mentors who believed in us, opportunities that challenged us to grow, and a community that continues to connect us years after graduation. The relationships built here are what make The W so special, and they remain at the heart of our alumni community today.
As we look ahead, our focus continues to center around two things: connection and access. Connection, because the bonds formed at The W deserve to continue long after graduation through alumni engagement, mentorship, networking, and the kind of friendships and memories that stay with us for a lifetime. And access, because there are future students out there right now who are one conversation, one scholarship, or one opportunity away from finding their home here, too.
Each of us plays a role in that story. Whether it’s mentoring a student, attending alumni events, supporting scholarships, reconnecting with classmates, cheering on student-athletes, or simply sharing pride for The W within your community, every action helps strengthen the legacy we are building together.
The W has always been more than just a campus. It’s a network of people who continue showing up for one another long after graduation. That’s what makes this alumni community so special, and it’s what will continue moving us forward.
As we begin another year together, let’s continue finding new ways to reconnect, support future students, celebrate each other’s accomplishments, and strengthen the bonds that make the Long Blue Line so meaningful. The future of MUWAA is bright, and I’m incredibly excited for all that we’ll accomplish together.
With Owl-standing Pride,
